First up, we know the C-word is disrupting your wedding plans and may even be the reason you’re hesitant to lock in suppliers for your day. This whole virus shebang is not a nice time. However, we’re all working toward a common goal – to get you guys hitched and having the best damn day ever, even if that day takes place a little later than initially planned.

Over the last 12+ months, we’ve been responding to many queries from concerned couples desperately seeking guidance on our COVID policy. Don’t worry; we have your back! We’re here to help you continue your wedding planning with confidence.

How do I secure my wedding date with Hey Jack?

Due to the high volume of enquiries we receive, we cannot hold your date without a deposit. We require a 30% deposit to block out the date with your chosen entertainment videographer or photographer. In no circumstance will the booking fee/deposit be refunded. The booking fee covers all Hey Jack administrative costs, including a fee payable to the artists to secure the date.  

What happens if we go into lockdown on my wedding day?

We’ve got your back! Hey Jack will shift all your musicians and creative contractors to your new date completely free of charge.

What if my chosen talent is not available on my new date?

Let’s say your chosen artist cannot be at your new wedding date due to a COVID lockdown, we’ll work with you on providing another of our Hey Jack musicians with a similar look, feel and sound to your original choice, so your entertainment is just as unique.

Are there any fees involved if I had to postpone my wedding due to a COVID 19?

We offer no rescheduling fees for event postponements due to a COVID 19 lockdown in Victoria (including rules in place for dance floors and density limits). You have spent your life dreaming about your perfect day, and we want to give you the confidence in securing wedding entertainment, film or photography during this challenging time. A fully transparent way of telling our couples that we have your back.

Dance floor restrictions are in place, but we’re going to proceed with the wedding anyway.

Whilst there may not be a dancefloor, live entertainment creates the atmosphere in the room while your guests are eating and mingling. Many of our couples have opted to increase their Entertainment package to create a “show” for their guests. Alternatively, if you decide to reduce your entertainment package, we can remove performers from your booked lineup. However, there will be a 30% cancellation fee for the component of the entertainment cancelled. This fee is payable to the booked musician for loss of work.

My wedding is 6 months away but I want to postpone my wedding just in case.

In this instance, you would be requesting to postpone your wedding outside of our COVID policy. Therefore, this will revert to our standard terms and conditions, and the deposit is held, and a postponement fee of 20% of the total invoice amount will be applied to the agreed rescheduled date. Please note that these postponement fees are paid to our artists as we have our contractual terms with them for loss of work and holding the date. 

Due to International border restrictions, I cannot have certain family members present at my wedding, and I need to postpone my wedding.

If you elect to postpone the event due to international travel or state border restrictions, and events are permitted in Victoria, our standard terms of agreement apply. Therefore, this will revert to our standard terms and conditions, and the deposit is held, and a postponement fee of 20% of the total invoice amount will be applied to the agreed rescheduled date. Please note that these postponement fees are paid to our artists as we have our contractual terms with them for loss of work and holding the date. 

I want to cancel my wedding due to COVID lockdown.

If you cancel our services altogether and do not elect to reschedule your wedding to another date, you will forfeit your deposit (and balance if applicable).
